The Top 50 awards recognise outstanding leadership in building high performing teams and transforming communities. They shine a spotlight on exceptional leaders, highlighting their work and creating role models for other females in the sector.
City West Water Managing Director, David Ryan said to have three winners in the cohort of 50 incredibly talented women from across the whole of Victoria was a great testament to the quality of female leaders at City West Water.
“The success of our applicants reflects our organisation’s ongoing commitment to developing women in leadership through our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, as well as our everyday practices including supporting flexible working, gender balanced recruitment and challenging traditional gender bias in the workforce.
“Employees know what is valued by what they see – and I’m proud that at City West Water we are supporting talented women who are highlighting the strength of a gender balanced workforce.
“I would also like to acknowledge Kate Houlden, Project Delivery Manager, Infrastructure and Delivery as a most worthy nominee this year, as well as recognise Louise Meadows, General Manager People and Capability, who blazed a trail as a Top 50 winner in 2017.”
City West Water is spearheading the water industry’s approach to gender diversity, with women making up 42% of senior leaders in the business, and more than half of the Executive Leadership Team.
