City West Water launches mobile responsive website
Built with accessibility in mind, the new website includes:
- A growing number of ‘how-to’ videos with transcripts and captions
- highlighted key content through revamped site navigation based on customer consultation
- a reduction in document downloads
- an updated search engine to yield quick and accurate results
New filters and keywords have also been integrated, enabling users to quickly find the information they are looking for.
City West Water’s Customers, Community and Environment General Manager, Cameron FitzGerald said the new-look website would result in a range of benefits.
“The new website not only brings our online presence up to speed, it also reflects the company’s ‘customer first’ vision.
“Enhancing the customer experience is a key component of our company mission. The new website is a fantastic step towards achieving this vision, and will pave the way for future upgrades as part of our digital journey.
“With customers from over 130 cultural groups living within our service area, accessible features such as video captions and a refined search engine will aid in improving user ease and accessibility across the board.”
The new website also features new automated customer transactions including seven-day payment extension requests and registration for email billing. City West Water is also using the Snap Send Solve service to enable members of the public to report water and sewer faults, launched through the website or via the Snap Send Solve app.
City West Water is seeking feedback on user experiences of the site through embedded surveys to review page usefulness as well as customer consultation. Upgrades and new features will be added to the website throughout 2017/18, designed to provide more personalised content and services.
