City West Water

Diversity and Inclusion Strategy

Discover our roadmap to diversity and inclusion.

City West Water is committed to embracing diversity and eliminating all forms of discrimination and welcomes all people irrespective of ethnicity, lifestyle choice, faith, sexual orientation and gender identity.

We are serious about ensuring that our workforce and our leaders reflect the diversity of the community we serve. We are measuring ourselves against targets in a range of areas, including having a gender balanced workforce and leadership team by 2019/20.

We are committed to providing an inclusive workplace, with actions and activities being driven by employee-led work groups.

Through our Reconciliation Action Plan we want to contribute to a society that celebrates and protects the ongoing cultural and spiritual connections of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to the land and waterways.

We want you to bring your ‘whole self’ to work so we celebrate cultural events with our people.

City West Water respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters upon which we work and operate, the people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our deepest respects to the traditional custodians past, present and future.

We acknowledge the continued cultural, social and spiritual connections that Aboriginal people have with the lands and waters, and recognise and value that the Traditional Owner groups have cared for and protected them for thousands of generations.

We will further develop our partnership with the Traditional Owner groups to ensure their contributions to the future of the water management landscape and to maintain their cultural and spiritual connection.

We are actively seeking expressions of interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants to enable us to build a strong talent database of diverse candidates. Register your interest by emailing your CV to cwwrecruit@citywestwater.com.au.
