The Integrated Water Management Forums have been established across the state to identify, prioritise and oversee the implementation of collaborative water opportunities. The Forums bring together all organisations with an interest in water cycle, recognising that each has an important role to play in the management of our most vital resource. City West Water is a key partner in three forums: Werribee, Maribyrnong and Yarra.
The Melbourne Sewerage Strategy is an ambitious 50 year strategy that has been collaboratively developed by Melbourne’s water authorities; Melbourne Water, City West Water, South East Water, Western Water and Yarra Valley Water.
Through a collaborative strategy we ensure our sewerage system continues to provide world class sanitation and protection of public health and the environment, while ensuring customer value and affordability. It also ensures that we have a resilient and adaptable system that is well positioned to face the challenges and opportunities of the future, and supports a prosperous, liveable Melbourne for years to come.
