Land Development Officer
Duties and responsibilities
A Land Development Officer will be responsible for processing a variety of applications from the development industry, including:
- Servicing requirements for redevelopments in existing areas
- Servicing requirements for land development
- Feasibility advice as it relates to new development
- Assessment town planning applications and subdivisional certifications
- Processing pressure and flow information
- Assessing build over easements or City West Water assets applications
The processing part of this role includes assessing fees and charges and application of City West Water’s policies and procedures. This includes undertaking hydraulic assessments of existing and proposed infrastructure to ensure that the new developments are adequately serviced.
Projects
You will be involved in a variety of projects including:
- Land Development projects i.e. new Greenfield subdivisions. This could range from a 2 lot plan of subdivision to the creation of a new estate.
- Redevelopment projects i.e. new Brownfield developments. This could range from a dual occupancy to new residential towers or commercial developments.
- Project management of new City West Water assets designed and constructed by others under a quality assurance system
You could also be involved in the project management of new assets designed and constructed by other parties.

The skills you acquire will also be in demand by the greater development industry including, councils, engineering consultants and water and sewer contractors.
