Recycled water flows at a busy Veterinary Clinic and Hospital
The Veterinary Clinic and Hospital operates like a large veterinary practice employing over 40 registered veterinarians from interns to senior veterinary registrars. Each year, about 17,000 animals – from horses to dogs and cats – are seen in the Veterinary Clinic and Hospital, which is open to the community 24 hours a day seven days a week.
We commenced supply of recycled water to the Faculty of Veterinary Science in August 2007. It is now used extensively throughout the site for cleaning animal enclosures, wash down and to ensure the surrounding gardens are kept in great shape. We expect the site will eventually use up to 24 million litres of recycled water a year.
