Meeting with customers face-to-face drives the message home
Our Water Wise for Life kiosk, a portable water conservation display, was primarily created to help us connect with our customers by bringing the showerhead exchange program and water conservation messages directly to them.
Customers can take a tour through a ‘real life’ bathroom, kitchen and laundry, and experience hands on displays that show them how to save water around the home and garden. City West Water staff are on hand to engage with customers and encourage positive behaviour change.
The kiosk has provided a convenient and immediate channel for customers to swap their showerheads, with more than 6,000 exchanged in the first six months. Even better, more than 10,000 ‘customer contacts’ in the form of discussions and distribution of information have been recorded. These interactions are invaluable and provide great insights into the challenges facing our customers during the drought.
The kiosk was launched at Highpoint in January 2008 before moving to other shopping centres in our service area including Watergardens, Werribee Plaza, Brimbank Central, Westfield Airport West and Victoria Gardens.
