Looking ahead:
In addition to maintaining operations at ATP and complying with EPA licence requirements, we are looking into constructing a recycled water project (on the Altona Treatment Plant site) which is expected to supply 2.6 billion litres of Class A recycled water to industry, golf courses and public open space in the Altona area. Other works planned for 2008-09 include the:

  • Construction of an administrative building and disaster recovery centre to facilitate ATP operations staff and provide backup IT facilities for City West Water
  • Installation of two standby generators to provide backup power in the event of a widespread power outage
  • Construction of a wetland system in ATP’s existing lagoon
