Looking ahead:
We will continue to work on employee engagement initiatives at an executive, department and team level, seeking continuous improvement in offering the best employment experience we can.

The target of 90% retention was a challenging one to meet in the buoyant employment market. Whilst we are disappointed to not achieve it, we are keen to learn from the exit data and strive to improve our employee retention. Primary reasons for leaving were promotion (24%), personal eg. overseas and interstate moves (22%) and to move into consulting (15%). Around 50% of exiting people were in the 25 to 35 years age range and had less than 3 completed years service with City West Water. We will continue to focus on work environment, job enrichment, collaborative workplace environment, employee well being and development.
