Register for a free water-efficient showerhead
Showers typically use about 30% of a household's water use. By removing an inefficient showerhead and installing a water efficient one, you can cut this by around six per cent, a saving of up to 13,500 litres of water for each person in your home.
Ensuring your home has an efficient showerhead in each bathroom is one of the easiest ways to save water and reduce your water and energy bills. Particularly when you consider that old style showerheads can use up to 20 litres per minute, or one bucket of water!
You can get new showerheads for each shower in your home for FREE! All you need to do is swap your old ones and we'll give you the brand new 3-star showerheads.

How to get your free showerheads
The showerhead exchange program is easy. You have two options for taking part:
Option 1: Register online
- Register your interest now to secure your free showerhead. Once you register we will reserve your showerhead and send a letter to you with information about where you can pick it up.
Option 2: Visit a showerhead exchange location
We've partnered with local councils and businesses to run a free showerhead exchange service at 22 convenient locations. 95% of City West Water customers live within 10 kilometres of an exchange location so there's sure to be one near you. Make sure you bring:
- Your old showerheads
- A copy of your water
