Installing of check meters to existing properties
To lodge an application to install a meter, download the check meter application form, print and complete the form, then fax or send it to Connections and Metering Services at City West Water on (03) 9313 8417.
All meters must be purchased from City West Water otherwise they will not be read.
Meters are the property of City West Water, with the customer paying for the connection fee, which covers readings and any perpetual maintenance of that meter.
Meters need to be positioned in an accessible location for the purpose of reading, maintenance, testing and replacement.
Any alterations to the existing pipe work for the installation of the water meter must be completed by a licensed plumber employed by the property owner. On completion of the alteration contact City West Water on (03) 9313 8277 to arrange the installation of the check meter.
