City West Water manages the sewerage system through analysis of sewer performance data to determine where to use closed circuit television and apply proactive maintenance programs, such as cleaning, root treatment and inspections.
We undertake a number of activities on the sewerage system to make sure it operates satisfactorily and to obtain information on the condition of the system.
Sewer pipes are inspected using closed circuit television to identify any clearing or repair works necessary. All of this work is carried out from above ground, eliminating the need to enter the sewers.
City West Water's relining of sewers extends the life of existing sewers, while avoiding the use of long trenches and ground openings. This method reduces costs and causing less disruption to the environment and to people who live, work and travel in the vicinity of the sewer.
