City West Water is pleased to advise that customers who hold a pension, veterans or health care card are entitled to a concession on water and sewerage charges.
Health Care and Gold Card
You are entitled to a concession on your Water and Sewerage Service charges and a concession on your Water Usage and Sewage Disposal charges if you hold a Health Care or Gold Card (Dependent Gold Card's are not accepted) and the name and address on your City West Water bill matches those on your Health Care or Gold Card.
Pension Concession
You are entitled to a concession on your Water and Sewerage Service charges and a concession on your Water Usage and Sewage Disposal charges if you hold a Pension Card and your name is on the City West Water bill for your principle place of residence.
The maximum concession allowed each year is $158.50 (from July 2007). The maximum concession per quarter is $39.62.
The concession is granted as follows:
- 50% of the total fixed service and/or volume charges up to a maximum of $39.62 per quarter.
Once your pension details have been registered on our records, the concession granted will be automatically deducted from the total amount due. The total granted will be displayed in the "Summary of Charges" on the front of your bill.
Apply to have your pension concession automatically deducted by calling us on 131 691 and we will send a form to you. Simply, complete the form and return it to City West Water with a copy of your pension card. You can either copy the card yourself and send it to:

or you can bring the completed form and your pension card into our office at 247-251 St Albans Road Sunshine, and we will photocopy your card for you.
Please note that by completing an application form you are giving City West Water permission to validate your details with Centrelink to verify your eligibility for concessions.
