Water Metering and Servicing Guidelines
The Water Metering and Servicing Guidelines have been introduced to provide consistency across the three Metropolitan Melbourne Water Businesses.
Stakeholder consultation was the basis and foundation of determining what specific functional areas and topics were of concern to industry groups and what should be included in the review. After meeting with major stakeholders, written submissions were received from our customers.
The review resulted in a large number of items that have now been made consistent across the three urban water businesses. These range from water servicing/metering conditions, sewer servicing conditions and asset protection guidelines.
In addition, the three metropolitan water retailers continue to work together to ensure our policies and procedures remain consistent and to guard against different approaches being adopted.
