Media Release: Showerhead Exchange PLUS Bonus Offer

City West Water households are being encouraged to take advantage of the Showerhead Exchange PLUS program, which provides free installation of water saving showerheads and energy efficient light globes.

Taylors Lakes resident Mary Sant said the Showerhead Exchange PLUS program has proven an easy way to save water and precious money on her utility bills. 

"I was looking through the newsletter that came with the water bill, and noticed Showerhead Exchange PLUS offer and called straight away to organise it," Ms Sant said.

"I booked the next available appointment, and the installer arrived right on time which was wonderful – a pleasant surprise and so knowledgeable and courteous.

"He also advised me of other products on offer and took me around the house and showed me ways to cut down my power use, such as power management devices which can reduce my standby power by up to 99% and save on our power bills by up to $140 a year. 

"We exchanged two showerheads, all the light globes without any mess, which are all fantastic, and we’re very happy with them - we’d highly recommend this service to friends and family."

City West Water Managing Director, Anne Barker, said the Showerhead Exchange PLUS program offers customers a minor environmental upgrade for their homes and saves them installing the showerheads and light globes themselves.

"Showerhead Exchange PLUS is a great opportunity for customers who want to change their showerheads and incandescent light globes over but don’t know how to, or don’t have time."

Old showerheads and light globes will be taken away and recycled. Residents who have already swapped over their showerheads can sign up for the program and have just their light globes exchanged.

Ecovantage installers are available from Monday to Friday between 8am and 6.30pm and on Saturdays between 8am and 1pm. Appointments can be made by calling Ecovantage on 1300 740 855.

Customers who prefer to install their own water efficient showerheads can still visit any of the 52 permanent exchange locations listed on our website.
