Work on upgrading the water mains along Puckle Street, Moonee Ponds are progressing well. All the new watermain pipes are now in the ground.

We've had a bit of delay as we work around other utilities. We expect work to be completed by the end of next week.

We've been replacing a short section of water main along Puckle Street from mid January.

Approximately 150 metres of water mains will be renewed on the southern side of the road between Mt Alexander Road and Pratt Street.

The replacement of the water main is part of an ongoing program to replace ageing water mains in Melbourne.

The water main along Puckle Street was built in 1923 and has had a recent history of leaks and water supply interruptions to traders and residents.
