The picturesque Edinburgh Gardens provided the perfect backdrop to launch the Best Practice Guidelines for Functional Open Space.

The guidelines have been prepared to optimise the development, construction and maintenance of functional open space in Victoria, including better ground construction, irrigation design and irrigation control to lessen the impact of drought.

The guidelines are the result of collaboration between major sporting venue operators, representatives from the turf industry, local government and City West Water, the guidelines are an industry first resource in functional open space management.

The full guidelines are available on the Clearwater website.
