City West Water is involved in many community partnerships and programs. We measure our contirbution to our triple bottom line, but particularly around how we contribute to our community.

To gain an independent view of our program, in 2008 and 2009 we took part in a benchmarking survey called the Corporate Responsibility Index or CRI.

The CRI was developed to help improve corporate responsibility by providing a process that assists companies to identify non-financial risk, as well as developing and improving corporate responsibility in line with their business strategy.

It provides benchmark for companies which are committed to managing, measuring and reporting their impact on society and the environment.

We have attached our final report from the 2009 survey to show our areas of strength and areas we need to improve. We received a 84.8 per cent rating, as silver star, which we believe is a strong effort. This is an increase from a 75 per cent rating - a bronze star - in 2008.
