Welcome to Water - Learn it! Live it! This comprehensive education program is a joint initiative of the State Government owned Melbourne metropolitan water businesses (City West Water, South East Water, Yarra Valley Water and Melbourne Water).
The Water - Learn it! Live it! program allows schools to actively implement water education and conservation across the primary and secondary curriculum. While developing a knowledge and awareness of water as a precious resource, students will learn about behaviours and actions they can adopt to reduce water consumption and improve water management.
Why Study Water?
Water is an authentic learning context that can be integrated across a diverse range of subjects.A major goal of Victorian Education, under the VELS document, is to develop global citizens who are engaged in and informed about issues of sustainability, both globally and locally. Water - Learn it! Live it! provides you with the materials and support to deliver such skills and knowledge in a real learning context. Best of all - it's free!

Water – Learn it! Live it! Resource
The Water – Lili resource provides a framework through which schools can develop their own programs and initiatives to engage students in water education.The Water – LiLi resource contains:
- a water in curriculum scope and sequence aligned to common school themes and curriculum standards from P-10
- a matrix of all KLAs and domains showing where and how water education aligns with CSF11 and VELS curriculum focus statements and learning outcomes from P-10.
- VCE pathways, milestones and planning templates, teacher resources, posters, tours and excursions details, student activities and projects and much, much more!
Water – Learn it! Live it! Accreditation Program
