Welcome to Water - Learn it! Live it! This comprehensive education program is a joint initiative of the State Government owned Melbourne metropolitan water businesses (City West Water, South East Water, Yarra Valley Water and Melbourne Water).

Why Study Water?
Learning about water can enrich and enhance school curriculums. It is a topic that can be integrated across all learning areas, from primary school to VCE.
Water is essential to life, and water quality and availability affects us all. Sustainable management of this precious resource requires the involvement of all sectors of the community.
Schools play a vital role in encouraging life long learning and behavioural change. Incorporating water into the curriculum helps students become more involved in water conservation and enables schools to become innovators and leaders in our communities.
Water – Learn it! Live it! Resource
The Water – Learn it! Live it! resource helps schools actively implement water conservation and water education across the curriculum, with the aim of making a positive change in students’ and teachers’ knowledge, attitudes and behaviour towards water.
Correlated to the objectives of the Victorian Essential Learning Standards, the Water – Learn it! Live it! program is easily integrated into the classroom. It enables schools to tailor and develop the program to engage students and the school community in water conservation and education.
Water - Learn It! Live It! is available to all primary and secondary schools within Metropolitan Melbourne.
Water – Learn it! Live it! Accreditation Program
Schools can become accredited as a Water – Learn it! Live it! school by working through a series of milestones. Find out more about our accreditation program.
