Seventeen budding writers saw their work in print this month, when City West Water launched Water Dreaming, a collection of stories from its 2007 National Water Week Writing Competition.

The stories are on the theme of water and are by residents in City West Water’s area. Winners in four different categories had their stories published, as well as receiving certificates and book vouchers.

The launch was held at Borders Bookstore, Highpoint on Tuesday 4 March. Copies of Water Dreaming will be sent to local libraries, primary schools and secondary schools.

The competition features winners and commended stories in categories open to adults, secondary school students, primary school students and residents from an English as a Secondary Language (ESL) background.
