Approximately half of all new housing developments occur in the western suburbs, giving City West Water the opportunity to work with developers in ensuring that Melbourne's new housing estates are world-class in infrastructure and environmental terms. Many developers have focused on the west due to its close proximity to the City, the Western Ring Road, airports, the Bay and ports. Quality, environmentally friendly housing and industrial estates are developing within our area and our well-planned, efficient water and sewerage infrastructure supports these developments.
Developer Services Team
Our Developer Services team liaises with land developers and understand the needs of both developers and industry. City West Water works with the industry to develop new ideas and work practices in the provision of water and sewerage services. Workshops have been held with developers to encourage innovation and City West Water produces a newsletter Servicing the West which details some of the new ideas being practised.
