Recycled Water Training Sessions for Plumbers
Are you a plumber working in the Western suburbs or the CBD?
If you work in a dual supply area where there is a second pipe for recycled water, City West Water’s training sessions will ensure your work complies with industry standards.
The training sessions ensure that all plumbers both comply with industry standards and also have a sound understanding of recycled water and dual supply areas within City West Water’s supply region.
Currently these areas include Manor Lakes, Bluestone Green and River Walk in Wyndham Vale.
The Plumbing Industry Commission (PIC) is involved in the compliance process. This includes three inspections required at different construction stages: meter to house, rough in stage (pipes visible before walls go up), and commissioning.
If the inspections are not completed, you will not be able to certify the recycled water installation of the dual pipe to flush toilets and for outside taps.
Residents could be prevented from moving in until the installation is certified.
It is the plumber’s responsibility to book in three inspections of the recycled water works for each step in the building process.
This process is in place to ensure the safe use of recycled water and will be explained in more detail at the training session.
Once you have completed the training, City West Water will issue you with a ‘Recycled Water Training Card’ and register your name on a list to be distributed to potential customers in the Wyndham Vale area.
Please ring the Casey on 9809 0250 to arrange for the inspections.
