Working together
We are partnering with government authorities, industry associations and educational institutions to help our industrial, commercial and institutional customers establish cleaner production initiatives.
In August 2004, City West Water and EPA Victoria signed a memorandum of understanding demonstrating a commitment to work towards sustainability through cleaner production. This partnership has been particularly useful in sharing knowledge between City West Water, EPA Victoria and customers, developing trade waste management guidelines, and investing in several important projects across industrial sites and sectors.
Similar partnerships have been developed with Sustainability Victoria, and peak industry groups such as the Plastics and Chemicals Industry Association, the Australian Industry Group, Victorian Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Water Services Association of Australia.
When developing our Water Conservation Solutions program, a number of industry associations were approached to assist with the promotion of the water efficiency message to trades people that can influence water consumption. City West Water is working with the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating, Green Plumbers/Master Plumbers’ and Mechanical Services Association of Australia and the Plumbing Industry Commission of Victoria to ensure water efficiency is a key consideration in any works performed.
Through these partnerships and affiliations, we help you access research and funding, and create other opportunities to improve water and business efficiency.
