Exemptions and Water Conservation Plans

Commercial carwashes, tennis clubs, sports grounds, gardens of significance and other exempt playing surfaces can submit a water conservation plan to City West Water which, if approved, allows them to use water outside of the current restrictions as long as:

• the proposal would see less water used
• the customer has special needs (often medical reasons)
• the proposal would reduce/minimise physical damage to an asset
• the proposal would reduce adverse affects on public health or safety
• the propsal would not, in combination with other comparable applications, have a significant impact on daily water demand
• the proposal is likely to be supported by customers.
