City West Water Co-Funding For Water Saving Projects

Opportunities for co-funding from City West Water may be available for projects that investigate and implement water conservation and salt reduction measures.

To obtain co-funding, you will need to complete an application form for review and approval by City West Water. Contact your City West Water representative for more information on funding eligibility.

Research and Development Funding

Our research and development program is helping industrial, commercial and institutional customers to investigate barriers to water conservation and reducing the discharge of contaminants such as salt to our sewers.

These projects are conducted in partnership with our customers, universities, research institutions, government agencies and industry associations.

• When can I apply for funding?

  Applications can be made at anytime. 

• How much funding can I apply for?

  While City West Water may fund up to 50 per cent of a project, the amount of funding available is dependent on:

  • the volume of water savings or salt reduction expected
  • City West Water’s investment cost over the life of the project
  • the projected payback period. Projects with a payback period of less than three years are ineligible for funding.

• Can City West Water rebate my business for a project that is already complete?

  Retrospective funding will not be provided for projects that have been completed or have commenced implementation.
