“Today’s Government announcement that water prices will increase by 14.8 percent from 1 July next year across the board has superseded City West Water’s consultation draft water plan.
“The environment in which Melbourne’s water companies operate has changed very significantly and we agree with the Government a review is necessary.
“Major projects like desalination and the Sugarloaf Interconnector add very significantly to prices, so City West Water is happy to work with Government to find ways to reduce prices for our customers while maintaining our services.”
