Two western region icons have joined forces in the lead up to the LeasePlan Western Bulldogs Community Festival & Family Day, to be held on Sunday 9th March 2008 at Whitten Oval.
The Western Bulldogs and City West Water are offering a FREE showerhead exchange that will save money and water.
The exchange allows people to swap their old showerhead for a brand new 3-star water efficient showerhead, saving 13,500 litres of water per person per year, as well as additional savings on water and energy bills for their homes.
The exchange coincides with the upcoming Western Bulldogs Community Festival & Family Day, where members of the public are encouraged to bring their old showerheads, along with a copy of their water bill.
Bulldogs captain Brad Johnson and team mate Daniel Cross recently met City West Water mascot Wilbur to check out the showerheads available for exchange at the Whitten Oval, venue for the Community Festival & Family Day.
With energy efficiency and water saving a focus of the Whitten Oval Redevelopment, the Club’s revamped facilities are set to be the envy of other AFL teams.
And with the first stages of the redevelopment near completion, the event will allow for tours of the Elite Learning Centre, the first time public will have access to the brand new player’s facility.
Contributions to the showerhead exchange will allow City West Water to make a donation to the Forever Foundation to assist with the ongoing efforts to raise money for the Whitten Oval Redevelopment.
The LeasePlan Western Bulldogs Community Festival & Family Day will be held from 10am – 2pm on Sunday 9th March at Whitten Oval.
For members and supporters it will be great way to meet their favourite Western Bulldogs player, purchase merchandise or 2008 memberships, enjoy multicultural performances and view first hand, the progress of the Whitten Oval Redevelopment.
Entry to the event is by gold coin donation.
