City West Water Licence and Statement of Obligations
City West Water is required under the Water Industry Act 1994 to meet obligations set out in its Licence and Statement of Obligations (SOO), issued by the Victorian State Government.
These documents outline the geographical area in which City West Water provides water, sewerage, trade waste and recycled water services and requirements with regard to service connections, service provision on behalf of other agencies such as Parks Victoria and Melbourne Water, dispute resolution, water quality monitoring, environmental management and asset management performance.
Included in the Licence is our Customer Charter, which details the rights and responsibilities of both City West Water and our customers.
Compliance with these Obligations is monitored regularly and is subject to an annual independent external audit. We also monitor our compliance through an internal compliance program and report on our performance in our annual reports.
