Community Consultation
City West Water's customer committees are an important forum for community consultation programs, initiatives and customer service issues.
Customer and Community Engagement Committee (CCEC)
The CCEC draws on the experience and knowledge of a diverse range of customers from our licence area. The Committee focuses on the customer-related activities of our business and aims to provide feedback and a customer perspective on our programs and activities.
The CCEC has played an important role in the development of our Water Plan, our submission to the Essential Services Commission, and in developing meaningful communication materials for our customer base. They meet quarterly and receive regular updates on customer complaints, our complaint processes, customer enquiries and media issues. They also receive regular updates on our operations to provide a greater understanding of the services we provide.
Our CCEC's membership is reviewed regularly and the group is chaired by a community member.
Community Liaison Committee (CLC)
The CLC contributes to the formation of the Environmental Sustainability Plan (ESP); in particular, programs and targets. The group monitors our performance against the environmental targets set in the ESP and is the driving force in developing the principles of a Sustainable Water City.
Altona Treatment Plant Community Liaison Sub-Committee (ATP CLC)
The Altona Treatment Plant Community Liaison Committee is City West Water’s forum for local community representatives to provide input on environmental and business issues specific to the Altona Treatment Plant.
The Committee meets regularly to ensure that community views are considered in the upgrade and operation of the plant, including Biosolids management and works to improve the landscape surrounding the plant.
