Land Development

Growth in our service area continued this year, with 4,124 lots in new developments created.
 
This is a 22% decrease on last year, but only 3% below our forecast of 4,250 lots for 2005-06. An additional 5,546 units were also constructed within existing developed areas, representing a decrease of 21% on the previous year.

The infrastructure that is required to service these new developments is designed and constructed by the developer and is then transferred to City West Water under a quality assurance system. We take responsibility for these assets and maintain and operate them over their lifetime.
