Executive Management Committee

Our Board is supported by the Executive Management Committee, which consists of the Managing Director and the General Managers of the key departments in the business. The Executive Management Committee oversees policy implementation, the day-to-day operations of the business and the delivery of services to our customers.

Stephen Robertson Company Secretary and General Counsel Stephen Robertson’s responsibilities include providing governance support to the Board and its committees, procurement and legal services, management of the company’s quality systems, risk management and compliance advice, and occupational health and safety in the business. He is also responsible for human resources.

David Heeps General Manager, External Affairs David Heeps’ responsibilities include pricing strategy, regulatory and government relations, bulk water entitlements and water resources planning. He is also responsible for the development of our Water Plan and pricing submissions to the Essential Services Commission.

Cynthia Lahiff General Manager, Finance and Administration Cynthia Lahiff is responsible for our finances, corporate and strategic planning, billing and credit services, fleet management, information services and knowledge management.

Geoff Gardiner General Manager, Service Sustainability Geoff Gardiner is responsible for water conservation, environmental strategy, trade waste and cleaner production services. He is also responsible for communication and customer service.

Sam Torre General Manager, Recycling and Development Sam Torre is responsible for recycled water, connections and metering, land development, town planning applications and backflow prevention.

Matthew Giesemann General Manager, Engineering Matthew Giesemann’s responsibilities include operations and maintenance, asset management, drinking water quality, infrastructure planning and design and construction. He is also responsible for our research and development.
