Structure and Governance

City West Water operates under a Board of Directors appointed by our shareholder, the Victorian Government.

Directors are appointed after a selection process conducted by the Department of Treasury and Finance and the Department of Sustainability and Environment. Recommendations are made to the Minister for Water and the Treasurer, who then jointly take their recommendations to Cabinet.

Directors bring a broad range of skills to the business, including management, engineering, financial, legal and environmental expertise.

At 1 July 2006, our Board comprised six non-executive directors (a person not in a management position at City West Water) and the Managing Director, our only executive director.
