In 2005-06 City West Water offered to staff a number of work/life balance initiatives to promote a flexible and balanced approach to work and life.

These programs, which were introduced as part of the 2005 City West Water Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, include:

  • flexible and reasonable working hours
  • flu vaccinations
  • health promotion and awareness program
  • flexible use of long service leave
  • maternity leave
  • meeting and training session times
  • out-of-hours child care/dependent care reimbursement
  • part-time employment
  • paternity leave
  • adoption leave
  • pre-natal leave
  • special leave
  • telecommuting.
