In 2005-06 City West Water offered to staff a number of work/life balance initiatives to promote a flexible and balanced approach to work and life.
These programs, which were introduced as part of the 2005 City West Water Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, include:
- 48/52 annual leave
- compressed working options
- Employee Assistance Program
- family leave
- flexible and reasonable working hours
- flu vaccinations
- health promotion and awareness program
- flexible use of long service leave
- maternity leave
- meeting and training session times
- out-of-hours child care/dependent care reimbursement
- part-time employment
- paternity leave
- adoption leave
- pre-natal leave
- special leave
- telecommuting.
